ABOUT STREET URBAN DANCE COMPANY - INSPIRE,
INNOVATION THROUGH URBAN DANCE MOVEMENT
Street Urban Dance co (formally Salsa Latina)
has been in business since 2000 and was originally set up as a salsa dance
company by Andy Moore from his love of dancing. After nine years of dancing and
teaching salsa across the UK and at major dance events he diverted his skills
from salsa to hip-hop, learning from some of the top choreographers and
teachers at Pineapple Dance Studios in London.
In 2005 Salsa Latina
changed its name to Street Urban Dance Co after changes within the Salsa dance
company he was teaching for , Salsa UK. Andy decided it was time start afresh
and opened up SUDC's first dance classes in Horley at the Oakwood Sports Centre
after a few year of training and dancing at the prestigious Pineapple dance
studios in London
Within three months SUDC had already arranged and
organised a major dance event in Surrey called 'Day of Dance', setting up over
12 hrs of dance workshops of different dances (ceroc, street, salsa,)hip-hop,
tango, merengue, bachata, and more) with over 150 people taking part at the
Oakwood Sport Centre.
